Restaurant : - In the middle of Denmark lies idyllic Funen and just south of Funen is the South Funen Archipelago with the many beautiful islands.
Funen is home to no less than 123 castles and manors. Here you can get close to the past in the most idyllic surroundings. Visit the insanely beautifully situated Valdemar Castle on Tåsinge, take a stay at Broholm Castle between Svendborg and Nyborg or experience the adventurous Egeskov with museums and labyrinths.
In the middle of Funen is Odense, which pays tribute to the city child H.C. Andersen with a beautiful museum and a visit to H.C. Andersen's house in the middle of old Odense. In Odense you can also get up close to wild animals in Odense Zoo. If you want to experience how people lived in the old days, then pass the Funen Village.
Along the coast of Funen you will find lots of beautiful cities, each with its own distinctive features. Take to e.g. to Kerteminde and Assens and take a walk in the old town in these two beautiful maritime market towns.
All the way around Funen you will find beautiful beaches and places with beautiful views of e.g. Great Belt and Little Belt. If you want to experience a very special view of the Little Belt, take the Bridgewalking over the railway bridge that connects Funen with Jutland.
That Funen is the entrance to the South Funen archipelago is not more clearly experienced than at the harbor in Svendborg. Here the ferries depart for many of the islands such as Skarø, Drejø, Hjortø and of course Ærø. If you are going to Bjørnø, Avernakø or Ærø, you can also travel from Fåborg.
From Svendborg there is also easy access via the beautiful bridges to Tåsinge, Thurø and Langeland.
Go on an island hopping to the South Funen islands and experience i.a. beautiful Ærøskøbing and maritime Marstal. Wherever you go, take your bike and get lots of nature experiences on the beautiful islands.
On Langeland you will also find beautiful beaches, the beautiful market town Rudkøbing and exciting Tranekær castle.

You can easily get to Funen via the E45 from Jutland or the Great Belt Bridge from Zealand.
